Do some reading to manage your time
Managing your time is one of the most important things you can do to balance out your life. Find a book that focuses on time management and study ways to improve this skill. Once you manage your time the rest will fall into place.
Simplify your life
We as humans tend to over complicate things. We think things are extremely difficult. Too many steps, too much equipment to purchase, too many processes to get set up. If we take a step back there is always a way to simplify what it is we want to accomplish. What is it that you’re struggling to start right now? Find a way to simplify and just start.

This week I sit down with my friend Jeffrey Shaw. He is the host of the popular business podcast Creative Warriors, a featured storyteller on The Moth, and a nationally acclaimed keynote speaker at creative and business conferences. For more than three decades, Jeffrey has been one of the most sought-after portrait photographers in the U.S., photographing the families of such notables as Tom Seaver, Pat Riley, David Bloom, Stephanie Seymour, and C-Suite executives from Twitter, Anheuser Busch, 3M, as well as Wall Street leaders too many to mention. His portraits have appeared on the Oprah Show, in People magazine, O Magazine, and others.
Having a keen eye isn’t just for what one sees, but also for what one senses. Jeffrey Shaw, a.k.a. the Lingo Guy, uses this honed intuition developed as a photographer to teach entrepreneurs how to attract their ideal customers by speaking their Secret Language. He’s the author of the book, LINGO: Discover Your Ideal Customer’s Secret
Learn how to talk like your ideal customer
We have to be able to take our message and put it into the right ‘Lingo’ for them to be attracted to you. One thing Jeffrey did was go and observe the ideal client. Learn what it is they are saying, what is it that they need, how do they talk about it?
Align your message for them to understand
It’s important to understand that it is one thing to learn how your target audience communicates/needs. The question is, is your branding and messaging getting through to them?
Grab Jeffrey’s free Lingo Media Kit. You can get it at www.lingomediakit.com. You’ll also be able to get a free chapter of Jeffrey’s book that will definitely impact your business today.

Be uniquely you.
You have to be able to approach your life as your authentic self. That is the only way you’re able to break through the noise and serve the audience you’re meant to serve. What do you bring to the table that nobody else can bring?
Shiny object syndrome.
Especially as entrepreneurs we’re presented with hundreds of ideas to grow our business. Dov mentioned Facebook ads as an example. Just because someone else is doing it, or someone else tells you to do it, doesn’t mean you should be doing it.
Longevity = Impact
It may be much easier to tap into a quick hit, or a quick pay out. The problem most people have is they don’t think about longevity. How have myself and Dov been able to be around in business for so long? We focused on what it is that we naturally and authentically do better than other people and we deliver that to the audience we’re here to serve.
